Usage and applicatioin :

Metal magnesium rotary kiln is a special rotary kiln developed for the calcination characteristics of dolomite and the technological requirements of Pidgeon method for smelting magnesium. It is the key equipment of the dolomite calcination system. The calcined white produced by the rotary kiln has stable and uniform quality and high activity. , The characteristics of low ignition loss, fully meet the technological requirements of Pidgeon method for smelting magnesium, so that the extraction rate of magnesium and the utilization rate of silicon are also relatively high, and the production cost of metal magnesium is reduced. It is an ideal equipment for calcining dolomite in the magnesium industry.

Working principle:

Dolomite is fed into the kiln through the kiln tail (high end) chute. Due to the inclination and slow rotation of the cylinder, the dolomite rolls along the circumference while moving in the axial direction from the kiln tail (high end) to the kiln head (low end); Fuel is injected into the kiln from the head of the kiln through a burner for combustion. The heat is transferred to the dolomite by radiation, convection, conduction and other methods. The dolomite is preheated, decomposed and fired in the kiln, and then calcined into calcined white. The white is then discharged from the kiln head device.

Feature:

The length-to-diameter ratio is reduced, and the shortening of the length not only reduces the heat lost from the surface of the rotary kiln to the surroundings, but also reduces the footprint of the equipment

The cooler and the kiln head cover adopt an integrated vertical design, which has a small area; good airtightness, avoiding unorganized discharge of hot exhaust gas

A vertical preheater is installed at the end of the kiln, so that the waste heat of the flue gas at the end of the kiln is directly transferred to the dolomite, which effectively recovers the heat taken away by the exhaust gas emissiones:
